MORE "PELVIC ISSUES" FOR YOU TO MUSE OVER AND IF IT IS HAPPENING THERE NOW, BE SURE IT WILL HAPPEN HERE IN THE USA IN THE NEAR FUTURE TOO!

More "Pelvic Issues" for your reading pleasure:

From the United Kingdom's Telegraph Newspaper: "Homosexual couples in Denmark have won the right to get married in any church they choose, even though nearly one third of the country's priests have said they will refuse to carry out the ceremonies."

Will this be coming to the USA anytime soon? Yes, if Hollywood, the far left and those in academia have their way through the dictatorship of the state religion of godless secularism of the three branches of American Government: Executive, Legislative and Judicial! But I'm not clairvoyant or am I?

Read the story HERE: "Gay Danish Couples Win Right to Marry in Church"-- from the Telegraph in the UK.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT MY POLICY, NOT ALWAYS ENFORCED AS IT SHOULD, BE WILL BE TO DELETE COMMENTS THAT ARE UGLY, NASTY, AND RESORT TO NAME CALLING AND THE UNCHARITABLE NAME-CALLING OF PEOPLE THAT DENIGRATES THEM AS PERSONS. PLEASE STICK TO THE TOPIC AND REPLY DISPASSIONATELY TO THOSE WHO MAKE COMMENTS--COMMENT ON THE POSITION NOT ON ANYONE'S PERSON, PERSONALITY OR FAITH AND MORALS. THANKS SO MUCH!

Well, I'll certainly be cautious the next time someone askes me if I'd like a Danish for breakfast.

IIRC, many if not most church buildings are owned by the state in Europe. (Bismarck?) This would be their basis for forcing this issue. Over here, many of the parishes and Archdiocese have taken Federal funds, essentially selling majority shares to Uncle Sam. This will be how it will be done here.

Yes, and could the government of the USA confiscate the property of the Church at some future date as the state religion is now godless secularism? I ask in jest, but I never thought the President of the USA would mandate that the Catholic Church provide something to its employees that the Church clearly defines as immoral. Who would have thunk even 8 years ago?

Does this only apply to the Lutheran Church of Denmark, since it is the State Church? This could still happen here but maybe were better off than having a state church.

But, Qwikness, it would amount to the same thing as having a State church...the State can mandate faith issues. No difference.

You are correct, Father, that the government could confiscate church buildings, but first they would revoke Tax-Exempt status, and then when churches refused to pay the taxes that would fund things going against natural law, the buildings would be "foreclosed" on. Foreclosed is in quotations because they would still "allow" services, but they would want to have a controlling interest.

Luckily, I saw For Greater Glory last night, so I am going to take horse-riding lessons, just in case it would ever be needed! :-D It's a great movie that seems very pertinent for these times we live in, and I recommend seeing it before it gets pulled from theaters, which will most likely happen after this week due to the influx of bigger movies coming out.

I'm wondering if this Denmark law is for the Lutheran church only since it is a state church and therefore an extension of the state. Does this apply to other churches in Denmark?

I'd love to see For Greater Glory Nate, unfortnately when I eagerly went on line 1 June to see where I could take it in, I discovered that Protestant Middle Georgia isn't interested in showing it anywhere within a hour's drive of me.

Bastardi!

Yah, Templar, I had to drive the 1.5 hours to Atlanta to see it, but it was worth it!

Maybe Father McDonald can plan a pilgrimage for everyone who wants to go see it this week! :-P Or maybe wait until the DVD comes out?
