A TRAUMATIZED MOTHER GIVES CNN A PIECE OF HER MIND!

CNN perfected turning tragic news into a reality show with dramatic music and catchy titles. Of course it is the ratings game that the entertainment industry slavishly follows despite the tragedies that people experience on live TV.

Katie Courick perfected her interview technique to get victims to cry on national television so that those viewing her reality entertainment erroneously called news would feel empathy and cry too
.

I can remember her interviewing, or should I say, exploiting a parent after he lost a child at the Columbine High School shooting, asking how he felt when he heard of the massacre! Riveting entertainment!

This video may contain vulgar language. What this mom said to CNN is what all entertainment networks should hear! God bless her!

And the bonus is, CNN can't call her a racist or a Nazi! Maybe this will be a "teachable" moment for CNN!

Bee here:

Thank you for showing this clip Father McD. I don't watch CNN, and would not have seen this otherwise.

Wow. I am so glad the media is being exposed in this way, from their slant and bias and exaggerations, and even lies with regards to politics, and now this aggressive and exploitative use of the tragedy of others to make gobs of money. I'm sure CNN will use this clip to show just how stressful and exhausting and frightening the situation in Texas is. But that lady's words will be ignored by them. But the rest of us hear that woman loud and clear. I hope she was able to get some dry clothes, food and sleep for herself and her kids, and have some time to quiet herself, and reassure herself and her kids and feel safe.

God bless you Father, for bringing this kind of thing to our attention.

Bea, Father McDonald is taking one for the team, watching that evil, craven, and left-wing channel for us! He has the spiritual training to stomach it!

And what's wrong, exactly, with talking to people affected by a natural disaster to ask how they're bearing up? Often people have wise, funny, thoughtful things to say & praise the Lord for their deliverance. That unfortunate,foul-mouthed lady apparently hasn't felt God's grace yet. No need to blame people who, like you and I, are just doing their jobs.

More thoughts: The reporter was nothing but polite and respectful and I'm not sure why a woman would wait to be interviewed, speak for two minutes and then explode in obscenities at the end of the interview. Obviously, she wasn't having her best day, but if you don't want to talk, you don't need to talk. It's nice that so many of you found entertainment in her despair. Cheers.

Has anyone noticed the deafening SILENCE from Pope Francis about the victims of the flooding in Texas?! I mean some uy who has the sniffles in Queens would gat a phone call. But Texans......nothing from that man. Could it be he views Texas as conservative, self reliant, faithful to Christ and largely pro Trump and therefore in the eyes of his holiness it makes those people deserving of what is going on. I mean he is a dyed in the wool LIBERAL. They have all shown themselves since the election to be uncharitable, intolerant, nasty and childish. And has Francis ever shown kindness to anyone who doesn't agree with him. Except for appearances Pope Benedict.

Anonymous at 6:45:

You say the pope views Texans as..."self-reliant"? Really? Then by that token, they should refuse all offers of federal aid in the clean-up. Ironically, the area that suffered the most, Houston (Harris County), voted for Clinton last year.

News and media use people for entertainment and simply got bitten by this one. Of course the poor woman was tempted by her fifteen minutes of fame, but to her credit came to her senses when the fatigue and fear overwhelmed her. The reporter trained to maintain the facade of caring for the specimen she had in the lens, controlled it well. Unfortunately for her the impact of this event on her career will depend on the viewer feedback to sponsers and ratings. She erred by not having a political question in her hip pocket. "How has the President's policies affected your situation?"

Anonymous (Kavanaugh) at 5:11, what does Fox have to do with this?

Anonymous said...

TJM - That you have to ask says much...

Actually, I don't have cable at all, so I don't see any of the political propaganda that poses as news from either side. But I do know the MSM in general has turned into exploitation for entertainment and political propaganda, not news reporting, as Father McD has pointed out.

But please tell me, how does the fact that you believe FOX could be substituted for CNN in my statement justify CNN's bad behavior?

God bless,
Bee

TJM -

Regarding Fox, I had wondered the same thing. I guess 'says much' about me too.

Well, there's this.

So he made shark cry? Fox made a mistake so CNN is cleared to be complete jerks? Did FrAJM use the exploitative nature of the report to applaude Fox. Is there any reasoning at all behind your comments?

Daniel said...

I've watched that video twice now & still not sure how the sympathetic lady asking questions about the family's experiences = complete jerks.

Daniel,Bee, and rcg had some good comments on this.

As far as Anonymous @ 8:37 AM,

Houston is like many large cities in the US, in that there is a political dysjunction between the residents of the city itself, who vote overwhelmingly Democrat, vs. those in the suburbs who vote overwhelmingly Republican. Thankfully, party affiliation is not coming into play in the response to this, nor should it.

Does anyone here remember the disastrous floods in Louisiana in 2016?

The link below shows that Democrat as well as Republican presidents can
be accused of playing politics.

The left-wing loon media is angry at President Trump for personally donating $1,000,000 to the Houston recovery operation. I guess they are doing this to deflect that their hero (heroine, is that still permitted?) Hillary Clintoon gave $0. Also, crying about the First Lady wearing high heels to Board Marine Corps 1 was hilarious. No wonder people no longer take the abortion loving national media seriously. But people like anonymous LOVE them as long as they bash Trump and the Republicans.

FACT CHECK: Not for nothing, like they say, but Trump hasn't actually donated $1,000,000, he's "pledged" to donate it.
He has a documented history of "pledging" money that he never actually donates.
I'm sure everybody will be very happy if he actually writes a check (out of the millions that the federal government has paid to Trump properties this year).

I am not a robot sounds like a disgruntled Democrat, sad that Abortion Queen didn't succeed Abortion King

rcg said...

To "But does a darn good imitation of a brainless automaton", it ain't about Trump.

I am not a robot said...

If it ain't about Trump, why can't you stop talking about Trump (and bringing him up in posts that have nothing to do with Trump)? Guess you're just programmed that way.

rcg said...

Nae Robot: that was an awesome response.

You must have Trump on the brain because it was YOU who responded to me about Trump. I know, you feel very guilty for voting for the Party of Intrinsic Evil - the Dems

TJM: Trump has still not donated $1,000,000 as you stated and there's no word on when he will do so. He has a history of announcing donations (for example, to veterans and 9/11 charities) and not following through. Since you posted something that was incorrect, I thought you'd want to know that.
